The School of Renewable Natural Resources at Louisiana State University Agricultural Center is seeking applicants for one Ph.D. assistantship or one M.S. assistantship starting as early as January or May 2026, depending on candidate availability.

To be considered for the Louisiana State University Scholarships 2026 in USA, you must meet the following criteria:
Minimum Qualifications
- B.S. in aquatic biology, zoology, fisheries, or wildlife management, or related field
- Research experience in laboratory or field settings
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Valid U.S. driver’s license (or ability to obtain one within 60 days of start date)
- GPA of at least 3.0 (overall) or 3.5 (last 60 hours); GRE preferred but not required
- Overnight travel and fieldwork required; ability to work in challenging conditions.
- Have a 3.0 overall undergraduate GPA or a 3.5 in the last 60 semester hours of undergraduate courses.
- Completion of the GRE with satisfactory scores is preferred.

The assistantship is half-time (20 hours/week) and includes
- a 12-month stipend of $28,000/year (MS) or $31,000/year (PhD),
