Position Overview:
As an Entry-Level Maintenance Trainee, you will play an important role in supporting the maintenance and upkeep of our fleet. This position is designed for individuals looking to start a career in fleet maintenance. We provide hands-on training to help you develop the skills needed to ensure our vehicles operate safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with organizing and coordinating repairs and maintenance for company trucks and trailers under supervision.
- Learn how to track company vehicles using spreadsheets, including repairs, maintenance dates, DOT inspection expirations, and oil change schedules.
- Support coordination of repairs for trucks on the road and assist in communicating with drivers during maintenance situations.
- Help process repair invoices and submit documentation to the accounting department.
- Communicate with drivers regarding vehicle status and scheduled maintenance as directed.
- Maintain organized maintenance records and follow established procedures.
- Participate in training sessions to learn maintenance systems, safety standards, and company policies.
Qualifications:
- No prior maintenance experience required — training will be provided.
- Strong willingness to learn and grow in a maintenance role.
- Basic computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment.
- Good communication skills and a positive, reliable attitude.
