About the role
Essi tec d.o.o. is looking for an Electrical Engineering student to join our team as an intern, supporting our projects. This is a hands-on opportunity to work alongside senior engineers on real, high-profile electrical design projects, gaining exposure to railway standards, technical documentation, and CAD-based design work.
Responsibilities
- Support the electrical design team with AutoCAD drafting, drawing cleanup, and attribute/block management
- Assist in preparing and formatting technical documents (concept reports, calculation sheets, specifications)
- Help maintain document version control, cross-referencing, and consistency across deliverables
- Support data entry and organization for cable sizing, load calculations, and equipment lists
- Assist with minor drawing updates and markups under engineer supervision
- General administrative support for the engineering team
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering degree program (Bachelor's or Master's level)
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD (2D drafting, layers, blocks/attributes)
- Strong skills in Microsoft Word/Excel document formatting; attention to detail
- Basic understanding of electrical schematics and terminology
- English is a must
- Organized, reliable, able to follow structured documentation standards
Nice to have
- Familiarity with EPLAN
- Exposure to railway, building services, or industrial electrical systems
- Interest in EN 50343 or TSI LOC&PAS standards
