We are a growing biodegradable packaging start-up, dedicated to creating sustainable and eco-friendly solutions. We are looking for an R&D Technician to join our team in Serbia.

What we are looking for:

We are seeking a driven engineer with a keen interest in sustainability who is familiar with wood or polymer technologies.

The perfect applicant will be able to operate in a lab, understand polymer processing technologies well, and not be frightened of grunt work.

We provide a brief six-month contract to cover the time needed to produce a pilot batch of the substance. It will be able to prolong the contract by moving to the project production site once it expires.

Responsibilities

• Set up, planning and execution of experimental pilot tests
• Operate lab machinery for plastics processing and filler preparing
• Checking the quality of the products
• Search and contact with Serbian suppliers of raw materials and equipment
• Contribute to product development and innovation

Requirements:

• Applicants must have an bachelor or master degree in Polymer Chemistry, Materials Science or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of polymer chemistry and/or carbohydrate chemistry, or wood/cellulosic chemistry
• Knowledge of processing method, kind of twin-screw extrusion, single screw extrusion, injection moulding and thermoforming lines – including troubleshooting, maintenance, and setup of all the associated supporting equipment.
• Safety knowledge
• Fluent in English with a minimum level of B2 proficiency
